Sam and Ally were married at Beamish Hall Hotel on a beautiful Autumnal day in October. This was one of the most relaxed and fun weddings I have been to and such fun to photograph. They used the time of year for inspiration for their decorations with pine cone place settings, a leaf guest book, emerald green touches and pheasant feathers in the bouquet! I love the light at this time of year and we were lucky to get a break in the drizzle to get some beautiful shots in the soft evening light after the wedding breakfast. Here is my selection of favourites from the day.

I am very happy to be sharing the wedding of Grant and Katie at Lumley castle from back in September 2016. It was my first time photographing at Lumley and what an amazing venue! The couple used Grant’s Scottish roots to great effect with a piper at the Church and a brilliant ceilidh that kept the guests dancing well into the night!

Katie looked absolutely stunning in her lace dress, and the happiness of the couple and their families was so apparent throughout the day it was a joy to be a part of. Here is a selection of my favourite images from the day.

It was a beautiful September day for Helen and Robert’s wedding at Crook Hall and Gardens in Durham City. Such a perfect venue for a small, intimate wedding. The gardens looked beautiful and we were spoilt for choice for the photos.

What a fun and happy day it was, it really made me smile putting together this selection of my favourite images. I love the long sleeved lace dress (with so many buttons!) and that Helen added some family heirloom broaches to her bouquet for her something old, borrowed and blue.

My first wedding at Doxford Hall was for the lovely Louisa and Chris who were married on the same day as Louisa’s parents 45th wedding anniversary, so a very lucky day! Louisa and her bubbly bridesmaids had the lodge house to themselves for all the bridal preparations while the boys got ready at the Hall. It was one of the happiest ceremonies that I have been to, I don’t think the couple ever stopped smiling and they are obviously meant for each other!

What an happy and fun day Louisa and Chris had! It has really made me smile putting together this selection of favourites, watch out for cute flower girls, a beautiful beaded princess dress and lots of confetti!
